Professional Pest Control in Botany for Homes and Businesses with Iconic Pest Solutions
Botany is postcode 2019, eleven kilometres south of the Sydney CBD, and part of Bayside Council, formed in 2016 from the former City of Botany Bay. It is not a quiet garden suburb. Botany Road carries container traffic down toward the water, the Orica site and the Banksmeadow terminals sit at one end of the area, and Sydney Airport is close enough that the whole suburb lives with freight movement day and night.
Between all of that sit ordinary streets. Cottages and post-war brick homes around Booralee Park and Banksia Street, newer low-rise apartments going up on redeveloped industrial land, and the Botany Wetlands and Sir Joseph Banks Park holding fresh water all year round. Heavy freight beside housing beside standing water is what actually drives pest pressure here, and it is what we treat for.

It’s rare to find service providers who are not only skilled at what they do but also genuinely polite, friendly, and transparent. Adam made the entire process straightforward and stress-free. You can tell these are honest guys who take pride in their work and truly care about their customers.
I highly recommend Iconic Pest Solutions and will absolutely continue using their services in the future. If you’re looking for reliable, trustworthy pest control, this is the team to call.
After a week, I asked that the trap be moved to the backyard under the mango tree where I suspect it had been feeding. The morning after it was moved, we had the animal in the cage. I draped a towel over the cage until it was picked up.
Thank you Adam and Jeff.
I also want to thank you for your patience. I know I asked the same questions repeatedly over the past few days, and you always responded kindly, thoroughly, and very quickly.
The whole process of preparation, treatment, and post treatment went so much smoother because of the detailed instructions you gave us. Thank you for that!
Adam took the time to listen to us and understand the problem, then commenced with a treatment through the entire property and outdoors as well as to into the communal areas. He left traps out for us to monitor, and explained to us throughout the process exactly what he was doing and why, along with preventative measures we can take.
Most impressively, Adam took our calls in the following days as we had additional questions, and then proactively reached out a few weeks after to check the progress. We had seen one stray cockroach by the outside door (likely from outside), but Adam still came by again to do a final spray to make sure the problem was eliminated completely.
I don’t often write reviews in this depth, but felt compelled to do so due to the exceptional quality of service we received through the entire process.
Thanks so much Adam , you’re an absolute star !

The Best Pest Removal Service in Botany
Botany is two very different jobs inside one postcode. On the residential side we work the streets around Booralee Park, Banksia Street and the Botany Road shops: cottages, post-war brick homes, townhouses and the low-rise apartment blocks now appearing on former industrial sites. Older housing means subfloors, gaps around aged pipework, and timber that has been in the ground a long time.
On the commercial side, 2019 is a working freight postcode. We service warehouses, container and transport yards, cold storage, food handling premises and light industrial units across Botany and Banksmeadow, and out to the Port Botany terminals. That work is set up differently: a documented site inspection, a mapped bait station layout, scheduled servicing, and written records you can hand to an auditor. See our commercial pest control programme for how that runs. We can also work around shift patterns and loading windows rather than standard business hours.
Worth being clear on the boundaries, because search results mix them up constantly. Botany and Banksmeadow share postcode 2019 under Bayside Council. Port Botany is a separate locality further east under Randwick City Council, containing the container terminals and the bulk liquids berth. We service all of them, plus neighbouring Mascot and Pagewood.
We Are Licensed Residential and Commercial Pest Control Specialist and Termites Specialists in Balmain Sydney. We Provide Our Services Across Sydney 24/7 and Same Day Service is Also Available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are mosquitoes so bad near the Botany Wetlands?
The Botany Wetlands are a chain of permanent ponds, and Sir Joseph Banks Park holds wetland on the bay foreshore, so there is standing water near housing all year. Numbers usually spike after heavy rain or very high tides, when newly flooded ground triggers a hatch and adults disperse into surrounding streets. Effective work has two halves: removing the breeding sites on your own property, then treating the shaded vegetation and harbourage where adults rest by day. We cannot treat the wetlands themselves, so this is seasonal management rather than a single fix.
Does living near the port and freight terminals mean more rodents?
It changes the pressure, yes. Rats and mice travel with cargo, pallets, packaging and waste, and Botany sits between the Port Botany container terminals, the Banksmeadow industrial area and the warehousing along Botany Road. Residential streets nearby pick up the spillover, particularly where bins, compost, chicken feed or fruit trees provide a food source. The practical response is proofing the entry points, removing what is feeding them, and using secured baiting as part of the plan rather than the whole of it.
Do you do commercial pest control for warehouses and logistics premises?
Yes. We service warehouses, container and transport yards, cold storage, food handling premises and light industrial units across Botany, Banksmeadow and the Port Botany area. Commercial work is structured differently to a house: a documented site inspection, a mapped bait station layout, a scheduled service frequency, and written records suitable for handing to an auditor. Stored product pests are worth raising specifically if you handle grain, rice, pulses, dried fruit or pet food.
Do you service Port Botany and Banksmeadow as well as Botany?
All three. It is worth being clear on the difference, because search results mix them up constantly. Botany and Banksmeadow share postcode 2019 and sit under Bayside Council, which was formed from the former City of Botany Bay. Port Botany is a separate locality further east under Randwick City Council, and it contains the container terminals and the bulk liquids berth. If your address is in any of them, or in neighbouring Mascot or Pagewood, we cover it.
Are termites a real risk in Botany, or mainly further west?
They are a genuine risk here. Botany has a large stock of older timber-framed housing on sandy ground, with wetlands, ponds and irrigated parkland nearby keeping soil moisture up, and moisture is the thing termites need most. A timber pest inspection is reported to AS 4349.3, and if treatment or a barrier is required the work follows AS 3660. Inspection frequency depends on the property, its construction and its history, so the inspector will recommend an interval for your home rather than applying a blanket rule.
